Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions (VTDS) has signed a strategic technology partnership with Czech Republic-based DEUS Automation, a sister company of the STV Group, to acquire manufacturing technology for small-calibre ammunition in India, the company said on Thursday.

Under the agreement, DEUS Automation will provide advanced manufacturing technology for the production of small-calibre ammunition, enabling VTDS to establish manufacturing capabilities based on international quality standards, precision engineering and modern production systems.

In a press release, the company claimed that the collaboration is among the first major technology-transfer partnerships between India and the Czech Republic in the small-calibre ammunition segment.

It is aimed at strengthening long-term defence manufacturing cooperation between the two countries, aligning with the centre’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.

"This partnership reflects our commitment to bringing cutting-edge global defence technologies to India through trusted international collaborations," said Sahil Luthra, Founder and Managing Director of VTDS.

Prikansha Luthra, Co-Founder and Director of VTDS, said the collaboration would support the development of a sustainable manufacturing ecosystem focused on technology transfer and industrial capability.

Representing DEUS Automation, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member Alex Černý and Manager of Sales, Projects and Purchase Ondřej Černý said the partnership is intended as a long-term industrial collaboration centred on technology exchange, advanced manufacturing and innovation.
